Just for the record

If I was the first-ever-elected minority president of the United States? And it was the most momentous occasion of my life and my presidency? And about 3 billion people were watching? And the CHIEF JUSTICE messed up the ONLY job he had that day, and turned what was supposed to be an historic moment into a joke? I would be TICKED OFF. We're talking asking-the-Senate-for-a-constitutional-amendment-allowing-presidents-to-smack-Chief-Justices-upside-the-head-when-they're-that-stupid mad.

I think Roberts was trying to find a way to constitutionally screw up Obama's oath - notice Obama did retake the oath "just to be safe." I can't blame Roberts for trying!

Big O can get over it. Roberts tried to memorize it (the first Chief Justice to try to do that) and he messed up. They were in front of billions of people...a person's bound to get a little nervous! And it was the first time a chief justice swore in a president that voted against his nomination to the court too...that's gotta add to the nerves issue. Hoover's chief justice flubbed his oath too (with the words right in front of him) but he didn't retake it (i'm sure because he didn't have to deal with idiot whackjobs on the internet trying to claim he's not really the president). Calm down, and breathe deeply :)
